NORA provides land and structures for the development of affordable housing through its partnership with the City of New Orleans and the Housing Authority of New Orleans in the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative. Land and structures are provided at 10% of the appraised value. Development or homebuyer subsidy is provided by the City of New Orleans Office of Community Development. Renters must be at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI) and homebuyers must be at or below 120% AMI. NORA’s development partners are projected to produce more than 20 affordable rental and homeownership units through the Choice Neighborhoods Initiative.
