Director of Asset Management
Alexandre (Alex) Vialou is the Director of Asset Management at the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA). In this role he oversees the agency’s real estate, ensuring effective stewardship of public assets in support of NORA’s mission to revitalize neighborhoods and promote equitable redevelopment across the city. He leads initiatives to improve asset performance, streamline vendor management, and ensure the sustainability and resilience of the Authority’s infrastructure.
Alex brings over 15 years of experience in project management, data analytics, and public-sector operations. From 2012 to 2022, he served as NORA’s Senior Business Analyst, playing a key role in deploying asset tracking systems, streamlining internal workflows, and guiding strategic investments. He returned to NORA after serving as a Project Manager for the Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games, where he managed large-scale accreditation systems and coordinated sustainability initiatives.
Alex holds dual master’s degrees in Agriculture and Resource Economics from the University of Maryland and in Environmental and Natural Resource Economics from Université Paris Nanterre. He is a LEED Green Associate and an alumnus of Loyola University’s Institute for Environmental Communication. A native French speaker fluent in English and Portuguese, Alex has also served as board president for two New Orleans-based nonprofit organizations—leading initiatives in neighborhood improvement and French cultural programming.
