The Rose Collaborative is an adaptive reuse of three historic buildings that made up the St. Rosa De Lima campus along historic Bayou Road in Treme. The church building has been converted into a performance space that will be operated by Southern Rep Theatre. One of the historic school buildings will once again house students and the other building has been converted into co-working office spaces for groups providing services to the community. The project utilized New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), Historic Tax Credits (HTC), public investments, and private funding. In addition to being a hub for education, business and the arts, Rose Collaborative will also become a gathering place for the community and will offer programs and opportunities that will build on the investments made along Bayou Road.
